City Walls and Old Town
Although no longer girding the city in an unbroken circle, the medieval walls still have some remarkably well-preserved sections. We walked along an Eastern section and had a great view of the medieval rooftops, church steeples and towers.
We went another route into the Old Town, down narrow alleys with small craft
shops in rooms, cellars and basements.
When we reached the Town Square a group of Spanish dancers
gave a performance.
The Town Hall dominates the square.
We had a very enjoyable stay in Tallinn and it gave us
better appreciation of the country and it people. So back to hotel to get ready
for the next leg of the journey: Stockholm.
